After a minute, it was removed so just went and re-added it and BOOM. One other thing I would check for is corrupted OST files. Turn off cache mode, delete or rename the OST file, and then turn cache mode back on.

Creating a new OST file clears up a host of weird problems with Outlook. This also caused some issues as outlook did not know where to store deleted or sent items and through up several errors. What about changing the root folder path, in account settings, to "Inbox". It seems to do the send and Outlook Not Sending or Receiving Email receive and get new mail when in offline mode, but not when online.

By web app, I mean webmail accessed via Firefox or Chrome for (say) Windows 10, not smartphone app. My comment about 3rd party email -- is a 3rd email app called Email - Edison Mail (from the App Store) I set up my mail accounts in the app and everything works as it should. I’ve tried repairing the data file, removing and re-adding the account, rebooting, re-installing Outlook/Office, running SFC/DISM, all to no avail. Their webmail works fine, and when this account is added to the Windows Mail app, everything works perfectly. One word of warning - you shouldn’t set that interval to more often than maybe every 10 minutes, every 5 would be the absolutel minimum I’d set. If you set too often you run the risk that Outlook could start the next download before finishing the previous download and that could cause duplicate messages and other possible issues.

See the attached picture for the Properties window for a user-created folder. When you right-click one of the folders that doesn't show new mail unless you select it, Properties, is the box 'When getting new messages... It's usually not checked by default for IMAP to minimize network traffic. Subscribing to a folder makes it appear in the Folder Pane, but one might not always want a folder to be synced automatically if it is mainly an archive folder or one that seldom receives new mail. This limits the amount of network traffic and improves performance for syncing important folders. But many users run into the problem where their important rebuild Outlook data file quickly IMAP folders are not syncing or stop updating.





While outlook supports IMAP, it doesn’t really want to work with it, so not surprised you are having some troubles. My phone, which I have no problems with, is behind the same router/firewall as the PC on a regular basis. The issue persists with PC connected directly to the internet with no router or firewall in between.

Hate to be a Debbie Downer, but why are you using IMAP? A primary way to compromise an O36 user is phish a user, steal their creds, and connect via IMAP to get a copy of a whole mailbox. By reporting abuse, a moderator will be asked to review the content of this interaction to take further action, if necessary.



Looks like at this point there still is not a fix? I am stumped as it the rest of our team. Paying $6 per month vs our current $1.50 per month is a pretty big increase on a yearly basis. We wouldn’t use many of the features included in office 365 to warrant paying the additional cost. Varatex - Outlook in Safe mode did not seem to help.

Outlook not syncing IMAP emails

We only have a handful of people who use the their email across multiple devices at the corporate office. Just a question - why not look at office 365? Mailbox only support is like $6 a month or less, and it is proper exchange, enabling better syncing etc. You should look at your Outlook desktop client settings to review the default synchronization schedule and tweak anything you can to get it to poll Google's IMAP servers more frequently. I access the IMAP servers from 3 different machines, and they all see the changes from each other. The problem is that the some changes are not reflected in the Gmail web app.
